Hello Louise, first of all thank you for your comment.
And trust me, I feel your pain. I’ve been there multiple times. However, today people aren’t joining NM businesses like they use to 10 years ago. Marketing strategies and technology has changed dramatically and keeps changing every year. People aren’t that naive to just go for the first opportunity they see. They have the internet at their fingertips and they research similar products elsewhere within minutes.
I have learned now in 2015, people need to be educated before they decide to buy. It has been proven that it takes 7-12 exposures before someone will buy your product or services.
For example, my blog is filled with information and value where I never even mention the name of my company. I do this because people DON’T like to be sold, however we ALL love to buy. Right? =o) This means, that presentations and home meetings are a thing of the past. It’s been done since the 1950’s and it’s just not effective any more. The reason is because people come to your meetings knowing that you are going to try to sell them a product or service. So, chances are, they will not buy from you just because we all have more options out there.
Have you heard the saying: “People buy people, not products”?. This is very true and is the reason why I was able to recruit 102 people just last week within 6 days. That’s why I’m always on the top 10 leaderboard of my company out of 350,000 affiliates. But I don’t say this to brag, I just say this because it is very important to understand that the reason I was able to accomplish this is because I NEVER try to sell, rather I provide VALUE FIRST. I consistently do it through my blog every day. This in turn creates TRUST, which will allow people to keep on coming back to my blog to receive more value. Which will allow my products or services to be exposed to them 7-12 times on average.
By accomplishing this, I’m able to automate my sales process through an marketing sales funnel that does all the work for me. I never do any presentations, nor home meetings. I never have to call anybody nor anything like that. People just find me through Google (just like you found me) and they eventually sign up to receive more information from me.
Having said that, I can say that my blog is the center of my business. I’m able to generate tons of traffic for almost no cost and I don’t come off as I’m trying to sell something to somebody. Make sense?
If I can give you one golden nugget here, you need to get a blog. Over 40% of fortune 500 companies have one and the reason why more and more companies are implementing them in their business.
I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if there’s anything I can assist you with. I’m always here to help.

I have been making calls and speaking with people (at least a hundred) and booked and presented to about 20 or so people. I have not signed up 1 customer or Business Associate. I have been doing this for 6 weeks! Is this normal? The RVP has done about 2/3 of my appointments and she helped me on my first 15 or so calls. I am about to quit. The product is services. I’m not trying to sell shampoo or something, it’s simple services that 99% of people are already buying. I just want them to be my customer, get the same great service and services and almost 100% of the time for cheaper. I get people promising to sign up and we arrange for me to call them at a certain day and time then they don’t answer their phone. Or they promise to call me back then never do. Every one of my friends said no too. My family does not live in areas where the services are provided. Can someone actually be that bad at NM? I don’t think it’s the RVP as she’s already been successful but I can’t figure out for the life of me what’s wrong with me! I’ve been successful in sales and been an entrepreneur my whole life and successful, never been bankrupt, always paid my bills, always had a great credit rating (I’m 49).

Thanks so much Supra for your comments. We learn something new everyday and the only way we can become good at it is by simply doing it. There’s no magic button or strategy. We learn from our own mistakes and after blogging in Spanish for over 15 months now and I will be able to bring that experience over to my English blog now that I’m starting to expand and help more people on their journey. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
