How To Write A Good Blog Post

Writing a blog post can be easy if you know what you’re doing.  Though if you’re reading this, then most likely you like learning about new things, strategies and topics that you are most passionate about.

Though, there’s a reason why you turned to want to learn more about blogging. You know that there are paid and free traffic methods, you know that even though blogging may take longer before you can make a substantial amount of income, it will be the most sustainable of all marketing methods and it will yield more profits in the long run.  Plus your conversion rates will be much higher than any other marketing form.

So I’m going to teach you how you can become an expert in your own field and get your readers become raging fans whom will love you and spread the world virally about what you have to offer.  The only thing I ask from you is to simply apply everything I’m going to teach you here and take action immediately.

Blogging takes time to master, but if you are consistent and stick through it all, I promise you will learn to love it to a point that you won’t be able to go by one day without posting to your blog.

So, what are the key components to writing the perfect blog post?

1.- Before you even start writing, you need to know with great certainty what is the purpose of that post.  What do you want your readers to do at the end of that post? Do you want them to become a lead? Do you want them to buy something from you? Do you want them to place a comment and share your post to others?

Knowing EXACTLY what you want to accomplish with your blog post, will allow you to define your post easily and become more engaging.

2.- You must think SPECIFICALLY who you are writing the post to.  Think about the perfect AVATAR. Male, Female?  Mid 20’s, 30’s, 40’s?  Single, married, divorced, etc.?  Does he/she have any kids?  How many?  What is his/her likes and dislikes? What does he/she do for a living?

You see, the more specific you are the better.  This will help you write your post as if you are writing a letter to that specific person.  Don’t try to write to the masses.  You will never be able to cater to everyone, which is why I’m telling you to concentrate only on one person.  The more detailed you are with your AVATAR the better.

Not until after you have determined who that person is and what is your ultimate goal for the post, you can start writing.  These two important factors will help you create a more compelling and engaging post. You will be able to connect better with your audience.  And don’t worry if you leave out the rest of your readers… Tomorrow you’ll come back and write another post made specifically for them too.

3.- Every time you write a post, you must write about something VALUEABLE. Something that your readers can take and apply immediately after they finish reading your post.  If they don’t feel they received value from you, then there’s a good chance they won’t come back.  But if you provide them consistently with good stuff and topics that will keep them coming, your readers will spread the word amongst their friends.

4.- Now, here’s another tip that many bloggers neglect to achieve.  ALWAYS have a strong call to action at the end.  Remember what I said about knowing what you want to accomplish with your post?  That’s where the strong call to action comes in place.  Don’t be afraid to ask for the sale or ask for them to stay connected with you.

As the reader, we sometimes need to be told what are the next steps.  If you don’t tell them what to do, then they will not do anything at all.  I know this may sound too simple to believe, but the reality is that most bloggers neglect this most crucial piece of the puzzle.  This one tip here can double or triple your income overnight.

5.-  Make your title match to what people are actually looking for.  Put that in bold (preferable with an H1 tag), make your reader know within seconds that they came to the right place to find the answers to their question.  Remember, we only have an average of 7 seconds to capture our visitors attention.  If we can’t keep them engaged in those 7 seconds, then they will click away to the next page.

6.- Break up your blog with titles, pictures and/or videos.  Let’s face it, most of us are lazy… We want the meat and potatoes as soon as possible.  By breaking up your blog in chunks, it makes it easier for your reader to digest and stay on your page.  So always use pictures and titles to make your post easier to read.

Blogging takes practice. If you want to become an expert, then just do it.  Don’t wait to find for that magic solution, because there is none.  You will become an expert by simply doing it and taking action.

These strategies are just a small taste of what you will experience within Empower Network.
