Here's a post that truly inspired me, which is why I'm reblogging it only my blog. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Why do I Hate Church?

I don't, I love Church, now…

I wasn't brought up with a faith or anything resembling any Religion. My parents didn't believe in it so they never introduced me and my brother to it. Who would have guessed that I would discover the love of Christ. Not that I needed it, I was getting it everywhere else…if you know what I mean.

But there was something about those christian couples I met. They had a great lifestyle, they seemed to have a great marriage  and they seemed such nice down to earth people. I wanted what they had.

The first time I went to the church, looking back now I must have been the biggest hypocrite in there. Here I was judging people based on what they wore on stage, the unkempt hair and the shirt that needed ironing and the pathetic trying of worshipping.

Yep, that was me back in 1996. Oh my goodness did I need help.

Well I was at the right place. Nobody judged me, I was accepted warts and all. Today I love living in the truth that sets you free and I live in it accordingly.

…and yes I have repented of my judging and critizing other people, actually I do it every day because somehow it keeps on raising it's ugly head. Thank God nowadays I just deal with it on the inside. I don't let it out that often anymore. But still it slips out here and there.

And still I am loved in that place, not judged , not critizied or made feel bad. I am accepted, I am loved, I am forgiven and I love how it makes me feel. Free to be myself, free to wear my own face and not a mask, free to belong. Church does not care where you come from, they do care where you are going though.

What's your church experience? I'd love to hear about it.
